Nexy Projection Screens are based on a patented technology designed to block ambient light and display only the projected image. This image expands to reveal a close-up of the Nexy Black Shelves as viewed under a high-resolution scanner. Note the small triangular shelves that have been inked on one side and left clear on the other. The result is a screen surface that is gentle on the eyes and reflects less than 0.06% of ambient light. Viewing angles of 160° allow viewers to see your presentation from a distance, with none of the unwanted sparkle effect that is typical of lesser screens. Nexy Projection Screens provide rich high-contrast images in settings that would otherwise require draped windows and dimmed lights. Nexy Black Shelves are combined with either a translucent Diffusion Film for rear projection or a Reflective Layer for front projection. This image expands to show the Nexy Black Shelves applied directly to the Reflective Layer. The location of the projector is important for Nexy Front Projection Screens as the ideal performance is captured with the projector positioned at no more than 15° above the horizon of the the screen. The brightness of the image increases significantly as the projector is moved further down to the optimal -15° below the horizon of the screen. Nexy has recently introduced the Nexy Exhibition, a large-format Mobile Front Projection Screen that integrates the Nexy Brilliant into a compact roll-up metal base. This is a welcome improvement over ordinary white screens in a high ambient light environment such as a trade show or meeting room. Compare the two side by side in this image where a spotlight has been placed above each screen to test each screen. When the work day is over, the Nexy Exhibition doubles as a Home Theatre Projection Screen that provides outstanding performance even with the most basic of projectors. More information is anticipated on the Nexy Exhibition in the weeks ahead. Recommended Applications

Screen Gain Chart
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Projection_screen: One of the most often quoted properties in a home theater screen is the gain. This is a measure of reflectivity of light compared to a screen coated with magnesium carbonate or titanium dioxide, when the measurement is taken for light targeted and reflected perpendicular to the screen. Titanium dioxide is a bright white colour, but greater gains can be accomplished with materials that reflect more of the light parallel to projection axis and less off-axis. Frequently quoted gain levels of various materials range from 0.8 of light grey matte screens to 2.5 of the more highly reflective glass bead screens, some manufacturers claiming even higher numbers for their products. Installation OptionsNexy Exhibition is set up in just a few easy steps. The base doubles as a carrying case and has rotating legs that are easily deployed. The Nexy Exhibition pulls up using a cross-braced metal frame. Projector Orientation To Nexy SurfaceNexy Exhibition will work within a wide range of projection angles, however when the projector is positioned to take best advantage of the Nexy Black Shelves relative to the location of the viewer, the image is clearly optimized.
