GlassVu's New GT72 Projection Screen

GlassVu Rear Projection Screen

GlassVu has developed a premium dark grey rear projection screen with improved characteristics for daytime operation.

The GlassVu GT72 is an important new product for storefront digital signage applications where all but direct sunlight is a factor in the installation.

Transmittance: 72%

For polymer screens such as GlassVu, direct transmittance is the fraction of the incident intensity that does not deviate from the incident direction as light emerges on the other side of the screen. Restated, direct transmittance is the amount of projected light that passes through the screen and is not reflected or otherwise absorbed. When direct transmittance is greater than 90%, the screen is considered transparent.

Haze: 96%

A full 96% of transmitted light that in passing through the screen deviates from the incident beam by more than 2.5° from the normal incident beam. It is seen as the cloudy appearance of an otherwise transparent screen caused by light scattered from within the screen or from its surfaces.

Contrast: 450:1

With a contrast ratio of 450:1, the GT72 is now our highest contrast polyester screen.

Viewing Angle: 150 degrees

Rated at 150 degrees out of a possible 180 degrees, the new GT72 is visible sooner as the client approaches from an indirect angle.
